Project Yangon’s School Health Education Programme initiative seeks to tackle health issues in Shwe Pyi Thar by primary health prevention measures – raising awareness and inculcating good health habits amongst the youngest villagers. The school health education programme takes place over two days. The team heads to the village school to organise educational games for school children between the ages of five to ten. We aim to nip unhealthy habits in the bud and correct misconceptions about health with our activities. We hope that as the years go by, these young ones might revolutionise the local health scene through their influence, one loved one or play mate at a time. After all, these bright-eyed and cheery children are the future of this village.
